Welcome!

I am Rohan Srikanth, a PhD student part of the International Max Planck Research School (IMPRS) in Potsdam, affiliated with the Theoretical Astrophysics group. Previously, I was a master's student at Ludwig Maximilian University of Munich where I worked in the Physical Cosmology group. Over the past few years, I have had the privilege to work at IIT-Guwahati, IIA, and NISER. I am interested in problems in fundamental physics, currently inclined towards Dark matter, Gravitational waves, and primordial magnetic fields. In my free time, I (try to) read, write, but end up mostly spending time thinking!

About Me

I am working on my PhD with Prof. Dr. Tim Dietrich on Dark matter and Binary Neutron star mergers using Numerical Relativity simulations. I completed my master's thesis supervised by Prof. Jochen Weller, Dr. Angelo Caravano, and Dr. Oliver Friedrich. I worked on probing primordial non-Gaussianity due to Axion inflation using late-time matter density PDF. Prior to this, I worked as a research intern guided by Professor Debaprasad Maity on secondary gravitational waves due to inflationary magnetogenesis. I graduated in Mechanical Engineering from BMS College of Engineering, where I worked on projects based on Computational Fluid Dynamics and Gas Dynamics with Dr.K. Ramesh. I was also a part of the Research Education Advancement Program at the Jawaharlal Nehru Planetarium for three years. Do check out my research and CV for more details!
